Wrestling Coach Jacob Aven
Head Coach Jacob Aven started his coaching and teaching career at Lawrence North in the Fall of 2019. A 2019 Purdue University graduate, he was a four-year letter winner for the Boilermaker wrestling team and a 4-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. During the 2018-19 season, Jacob was a Big Ten place winner, an NCAA national qualifier and NCAA Academic All-American.
Aven graduated from Zionsville High School in 2014, where he was a two-time IHSAA state finalist. During the school day, he teaches social studies at Lawrence North.
In the spring of 2021, Aven started the Lawrence North youth wrestling club, providing opportunities for both boys and girls in the Lawrence area to learn confidence, perseverance, goal-setting, and teamwork through the sport of wrestling.
