Head Cheer Coach Carmisha Leary
Coach Leary is in her first year leading the LN cheer team. She grew up in Lawrence Township, graduating from Lawrence Central in 2006. She has been involved with cheerleading for over 20 years as athlete and a coach. She cheered in high school for LC, then went on to cheer for the University of Southern Indiana, the Pride of Indiana and Cheer Zone.
She has over 12 years experience as a coach, which include previous stops at Lawrence North for 2 years, Lawrence Central for 3 years, and at Warren Central for 3 years. She is currently the co-owner at Spectrum All-Stars. Over the last 12 years, they have won 16 national championships. Coach Leary is currently a USASF member and is AACCA certified.
During the day, Coach Leary works at Fall Creek Middle School as a community and schools liason. She has been at Fall Creek Valley for seven years and in Lawrence Township for 13 years total. She and her husband, Abdul-Akeem Sodiq, love to travel, especially to his home country of Nigeria. They have one son, Zayn Sodiq.
