Head Girls Tennis Coach Hector Clavijo

Hector Clavijo is entering his sixth year as the head coach of the boys and girls tennis teams.  He is also the director of Junior Development at the Indianapolis Racquet Club.  His Wildcat girls tennis teams have won the sectional championship in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022.    

Clavijo originates from Ecuador, where he competed internationally as the country’s top junior player. He moved to the United States and competed as the number one singles player at Chattanooga State and Lee University in Tennessee.

In 2001, Clavijo began his professional career at the Indianapolis Racquet Club and became their Director of Junior Development in 2007 where he also serves as the USTA and PTR High Performance coach. He has coached a number of junior grand slam athletes, with his players having competed in the Australian Open, French Open, & US Open.
