Welcome to Lawrence North High School. “Achieving Excellence, Building Character, and Serving Others” is the vision guiding Lawrence North as we serve a diverse population of over 2,300 students. As a fully accredited, comprehensive 9-12 high school, we offer over 750 courses including Advanced Placement, Advance College Project (Dual Credit), Project Lead the Way, and International Baccalaureate. To assist with the transition to high school, we are proud of our LN Freshman School, and we offer additional support through our AVID program and our tutoring center. As students envision their future, they may consider McKenzie Center for Technology & Innovation particularly if they have an interest in bio-medical science, nursing, robotics, engineering, auto mechanics, cosmetology and food service.
We have much to be proud of at Lawrence North, including our role in the district's K-12 Spanish Language Immersion Program, a program recently recognized as an International Spanish Academy by the Kingdom of Spain. Our visual and performing arts classes consistently rank among the state's best in art, music, choral, and dance competitions. We offer state of the art courses in communications including computer graphics and journalism where students can also earn dual credit through Indiana universities. Our athletic teams compete in the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference, a conference considered one of the strongest in the Midwest. These achievements can be attributed to the efforts of an outstanding staff. We take great pride in our teaching staff, 70 percent of whom have earned a Master's degree or higher.
