Academic Decathlon

Team members will prepare for and compete in ten different academic events.

Academic Superbowl

Competition is comprised of six different teams: English, math, science, social studies, fine arts, andinterdisciplinary.

American Sign Language

Sign language club is a chance to learn a new language, to make new friends, and to learn the culture of the deaf.

Anime Club

Anime is a social club for students who share a love for Japanese animation. Meetings are devoted to watching new episodes of imported programs.

Art Club

Art Club is designed for those who appreciate various forms of art and also wish to share their artistictalents with the community.

Athletic Training

The student athletic training program provides opportunities to increase knowledge of basic sportsmedicine skills as well as exposure to various sports.

Brain Game

The Brain Game team competes against other schools in a game of trivia.

Business Professionals of America

BPA is the youth organization open to all students enrolled in business classes and operates activelyon the local, district, state, and national levels.

Cable Show

Members produce LN’s half-hour newsmagazine, aired on the local cable access channel.

Cat's Eye

Members produce LN’s news show, aired every other day.

Character Awareness Troop

In the educational framework of dramatic skits and peer teaching, the Character Awareness Troopoffers information on character development, substance abuse, and conflict management.

Cheerleading

Separate cheer squads existfor varsity, junior varsity, and freshman teams in football, boys’ basketball, and girls’ basketball.

Chess Club

Chess club is open to all students who enjoy the game.

Debate

Students hone public speaking skills as they compete Saturdays against other schools in 13 IHSFAsanctioned events including Humorous, Dramatic, Duo, Extemporaneous, and Impromptu. Debate events this year include Congress and Discussion.

DECA

DECA is the youth organization for students in marketing classes.

Drama Club

This is an organization in which students are encouraged to develop a deep appreciation of theater and the arts.

Euchre Club

This is an opportunity for students to get together who love to play the game.

Forensics

French Club

To promote French culture through the study of French cinema, literature, music, art, history, and cuisine.

Activities include dodgeball (Sept/Oct), basketball (Dec/Jan), and volleyball (Apr/May)

Journalism Explorers

Members explore communication careers by visiting media, advertising, and public relations firms.

Just Say No Actors

Key Club

Key Club is a community service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.

Latin Club

Membership affords the opportunity for Latin students to compete at the state and national levels and to fellowship with students of similar interests.

LNTV

Members produce LN’s half-hour newsmagazine, aired on the local cable access channel.

Model United Nations

Students stage a mock United Nations' meeting and present resolutions.

Moot Court

Students are assigned cases currently on appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society was founded in 1921 to encourage the virtues of character, leadership, scholarship, and service.

News Bureau

News Bureau members produce the school newsletter which is mailed home to parents; maintain the school newspaper website; assist in production of the school newspaper; and, assist in the production of material for publication outside the school.

North Star

Members produce the school newspaper, North Star, every two weeks.

Piano Club

The piano club brings students together who enjoy playing the piano and/or would like to learn to play the piano.

Principal's advisory council

PAC is a service leadership organization that helps the Admistration with various school functions such as Homecoming, Veteran's Day, Black History Month, Graduation, Talent Show and Parent Teacher conference. Students also address school issues and work to resolve these issues.

Members of Q & S are involved in newspaper, yearbook, or news bureau.

Science Club

Science Club provides opportunities for students interested in the natural environment to explore the world beyond the classroom.

Spanish Club

Activities include attending Fiesta (Indianapolis’ Hispanic festival), visiting the Indiana State Museum’s Day of the Dead exhibit, service projects, food, and fun.

Special Ed. Swimming Volunteers

Volunteers work one-on-one with special education students on water safety and basic swimming skills.

Spell bowl is a written team spelling competition

Student Advisory Council

The purpose of SAC is to represent the student body to the faculty, the administration, and the community, to administer the business of the student body, and to make appropriate recommendations to the school administration on matters affecting LN students.
